In honor of Giving Tuesday, Online Trading Academy teamed up with The Myers-Briggs Company to help promote empathy and compassion this holiday season.
Starting out as a simple idea back in 2012, Giving Tuesday has grown into a global event. Their goal:
Encouraging people to do good and unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world!
Psychology tells us that when we perform random acts of kindness, empathy and compassion result. This in turn leads to a greater sense of interconnectedness and feelings of positivity. Not only do we feel better when we help others, but the recipients of our kindness feel better too. This ripple effect then makes people more inclined to be kind to other people.
And believe it or not, kindness—whether given or received—affects both our physical and mental health. Studies show that being kind helps reduce stress, boost our immune system, and help reduce negative emotions such as anger, anxiety and depression. All of this from simple acts of kindness.
We are so grateful to Myers-Briggs, and the employees of OTA for their participation in this collaborative event and helping to spread joy and a sense of belonging and connectedness around the world.
