Retail sales weren’t great but weren’t disastrous either, giving hope forpositive outlooks from retailers like TJ Maxx and Ross, which report earningsthis week. In total, 465 companies are set to report, including Home Depot,Lowe’s, Target, and Workday.

Central bank action shifts to the Reserve Bank of Australia, expected to cutrates by 25 basis points early Tuesday, while the U.S. holds steady.

Globally, services and manufacturing PMI data will be released Thursday morningfrom France, Germany, the EU, the UK, and finally the U.S. at 9:45 AM ET—likelyinjecting some market volatility.

Overall, while economic data remains key, this week is relatively light onmajor U.S. events, offering a potentially calmer trading environment. Still, watch for earnings surprises and global data that could shift sentiment.
