Is Employment Data Set to Steal the Spotlight?

Looking ahead to the trading week, markets are gearing up for a full week after the shortened Good Friday session. Most indices, including S&P, Russell, and the dollar, are on the rise, with a slight downtrend in NASDAQ.

Earnings season is quiet, but focus shifts to US employment data with JOLTS job openings, ADP non-farm employment change, and unemployment claims scheduled.

Friday brings the release of the unemployment rate and nonfarm employment change, expected to hold steady at 3.9%.

Jerome Powell's speech at Stanford's forum could stir volatility, though no major announcements are anticipated.

Additionally, ISM Manufacturing PMI and ISM Services PMI numbers will offer insights into the state of the US manufacturing and services sectors.

While no groundbreaking news is expected, traders should remain vigilant for potential market movements driven by economic data releases and Powell's remarks.
