If you wish to be a successful trader and master the tricks of the trade from top professionals across the world, enroll at the California- based financial education provider Online Trading Academy's first centre in India — in Mumbai.

Even seasoned traders need quality education in their field because "95 percent of them end up losing money" as they are not properly trained, says Rajesh Vora, Vice- President, Online Trading Academy Mumbai.

The Academy, whose two other Asian centres are in Dubai and Singapore, offers a variety of courses covering trading styles and techniques, active investing, stock exchange - traded funds, options, equity futures, commodities and foreign exchange. And its students range from 12-year-olds to people in their 60s and 70s.

Vora says the Academy's Professional Trader Program is the top seller because it allows students to trade live with real money during the market hours under professional guidance.

All trading costs and losses incurred by the students are borne by the Academy.

"Our instructors are all seasoned professional traders from across the globe," assures Vora. The other big draw is the tie-up with Sharekhan, whose offers of brokerage discounts to students ensure their tuition fee of 87,500 rupee for a seven- day module is almost entirely reimbursed.

The Academy, clearly, has clicked. It's evident from the 100 students who enroll in its courses every month. Not surprisingly, it has plans to open shop in Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Vadodara. And if its Mumbai experience is anything to go by, the program's success is almost assured.
