The courses currently include topics such as stocks, futures, currencies, technical analysis, risk management, and asset management. Come January, the
Academy hopes to launch asset-specific classes.
The course runs for seven days of in-class sessions, and includes two months of online sessions. The cost for the course is 87,000 rupee, including
unlimited free re-takes of the class, and all trading costs. Once a student completes the class, if he is actively trading with Sharekhan, the company will
grant him 100% reimbursement via discounted brokerage.
"The classes are conducted during market hours," says Darek Zelek, master instructor, Online Trading Academy. "Each student gets 1 lahk rupee to invest
through the duration of the course. While our curriculum is international in its outlook, and teaches how to recognise how price oscillates, this particular
course is focused on the Bombay Stock Exchange."
