Monday Market Must-Knows: July 18, 2022

Last week we saw disappointing earnings from some financial firms that may cause negative movements in the market. This week, more financial institutions are reporting such as Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Charles Schwab and Interactive Brokers. Make sure to check your earnings calendar as 249 companies are reporting this week.

 

Also reporting this week: Netflix (which could be the most volatile stock of the week), Tesla, United Airlines, and others.

European Central Bank – Thursday 8:15am PT

    Main refinance rate announcement – Are they going to keep it  at 0%?

 

Consumer Price Index for the European Union – Tuesday 5:00am ET

    We see potential inflation implications based on the current plan to hold interest rates as CPI rises.
