Stan Ehrlich started in the Futures industry in 1971 as a runner on the Chicago Futures Exchanges and became a Futures Broker a year later. In 1978 Stan invented the Ehrlich Cycle Finder™, a technical analysis tool used in all markets. He brokered for some of the most famous market analysts in the world, including Robert Prechter, the Elliot Wave Theorist, Beatrice Foods Corp., and other large corporations. For about ten years in the 1990’s he had his own futures brokerage firm, Ehrlich Commodity Futures, as well as being a stock broker. From 2003-2008 he was the President of a Futures Commission Merchant, Commodity Trading Advisor, Commodity Pool Operator, and Forex Dealer Member. He was the author of a daily technical analysis market letter which covers Stock Indexes, Interest Rates, International Currencies, Energies, Metals, Grain, Meats, and more.
He has been quoted in numerous financial papers, magazines, is written up in about 20 different books, and has appeared on CNBC, international financial TV, and many other television, radio stations, and internet interviews worldwide. He is also a member of AAPTA, American Association of Professional Technical Analysts, and the TSAASF, Technical Security Analyst Association of San Francisco.
In addition, he has lectured at about 100 technical analysis and general Commodity seminars and conferences worldwide since 1975 for Reuters, Dow Jones Telerate, Futures Magazine, TradeStation, AAII, International Federation of Technical Analysts, TSAASF, Chartpattern.com, Terrapinn Corporation, and other organizations.
He was the President of the General Partner of a Forex trading fund, and the funds Chief Portfolio Strategist and Head Trader.
