Bob Dunn began his career investing in the stock market in 1974 trading his own account primarily based on technical analysis. He continued trading and in 1980 he leased a membership at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and began trading commodity futures exclusively. In 1982 he began publishing his daily newsletter, "The Market Guru" which provided trading recommendations on all the major currencies and interest rate futures. These letters were distributed to numerous exchange members and clearing firms. Continued trading success enabled Bob to purchase his own membership on the CME in 1985. He soon acquired his CFTC certification as a licensed broker enabling him to represent retail accounts.
During the course of Bob's career, his expertise as a technical analyst was instrumental in his success. In 1999, Bob purchased a membership at the Chicago Board of Trade and began trading the Dow Futures and the Ten Year Bonds, always emphasizing technical analysis as the key to successful trading over the long run. He continues to maintain his membership with the CME Group. Bob still trades in addition to his teaching responsibilities here at Online Trading Academy, fulfilling his longtime ambition to teach successful trading strategies to aspiring investors.
