Experienced Management Team
Online Trading Academy is led by an experienced management team that has the entrepreneurial vision and management skills necessary to create a successful franchise system. The team consists of a tremendous blend of franchising, investments and trading, and general business leadership. Online Trading Academy’s trading training system and strategies have been proven through bull and bear markets.
Eyal Shahar
Co-Founder and President
Mr. Shahar is a seasoned executive who started his first business importing diamonds in 1983. After developing the business to supply over 600 major wholesalers, the business was profitably sold in December 1990. Beginning in 1991 Eyal Shahar purchased 50% ownership in a struggling publishing house with a new vision (to publish guides for the Performing Arts). With marketing experience, creativity, and leadership, he opened eight offices throughout the country and within 6 years increased company revenues by eighteen times. This business was successfully sold. He entered the securities business, forming Newport Exchange in 1997, the predecessor to Online Trading Academy.

John W. O'Donnell, III
Chief Knowledge Officer
John O'Donnell is the Chief Knowledge Officer for Online Trading Academy. In this role he delivers a combination of educational and corporate experience that has been instrumental in making Online Trading Academy one of the premier trading schools in the world. His extensive management and consulting experience has been a key ingredient in Online Trading Academy’s fast global growth and industry recognition and awards.
Mr. O'Donnell was a finalist two years in a row for the "Entrepreneur of the Year" award by Inc. magazine in Orange County, California. He has often been featured on financial web portals and television networks such as CNBC, CNN and MarketWatch. Mr. O’Donnell’s focus and thoughts on issues such as historic boom/bust business cycles and the potential coming burst of the credit bubble in the "Globalization 3.0 Era" has also been featured in financial focused newspapers and magazines such as The Wall Street Journal, Investors Business Daily, Traders Journal and EQUITIES magazine, just to name a few. Mr. O’Donnell is frequently a keynote speaker at global finance expos including Trade2Win, Online Traders Expo, London IX Expos, Brazil Active Traders Expos, World's First Virtual Online Traders Expo, Canadian Financial Forums, and The MoneyShow.
Mr. O’Donnell received a BS in Science from Southwest Baptist University in 1968. He began his career as a public school teacher and then transitioned to public corporations, working as an investment banker. His background in both education and financial services gives him a unique ability to teach complex financial theories and trading skills to beginner investors and seasoned traders alike.

Mike McMahon
Director of Education
Mike Mc Mahon brings 20 years of experience in the markets, as an investor, a trader and a licensed Commodities broker. Mr. Mc Mahon has taught classes in such diverse topics as Battlefield Medical Aid, Scuba diving, Hazardous Materials Handling procedures and Motivational Salesmanship. He also was the General Manager of a $22 million per year chemical company, Polymer Development Laboratories, Inc., where his duties included all aspects of the day-to-day operations. His organizational skills and ability to create continuity is a tremendous cohesive factor for Online Trading Academy. Graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, Mr. Mc Mahon brings a blend of academia and experience to our classroom. His ability to communicate this blend is the rare talent that allows an active trader to be a successful trainer. |

Gene Longobardi
Senior VP, Franchise Operations
Mr. Longobardi has over 25 years of senior executive experience, most recently as a Sr. Vice President of Business Development with ELLIS, Inc., a Salt Lake City company that produced and distributed English language learning software for children and adults worldwide. Mr. Longobardi provided strategic guidance to ELLIS as a consultant and later as an employee until the sale of the company to Pearson in 2006.
As a senior executive with New Horizons Computer Learning Centers, Inc., Mr. Longobardi helped grow the company from three locations and 1992 revenues of $7 million to become the world's largest information technology training company, with over 280 locations generating revenues exceeding $500 million by 1999. He began his career with New Horizons as Chief Financial Officer and later became Senior Vice President of Global Franchise Operations, responsible for franchise development and support, product management and worldwide training. Mr. Longobardi has also been a successful business consultant and workshop facilitator working with numerous companies in the education and training industries as well as early stage franchising organizations. Mr. Longobardi received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from San Diego State University in 1979 and his CPA certificate in 1982, which he has since allowed to expire. |

Ralph Loberger
VP Franchise Development
Ralph Loberger has 20 years of experience in successfully growing franchise systems. Most recently he served as Vice President of Global Franchise Development for New Horizons Computer Learning Centers, Inc., the world's largest information technology training company. Prior to his 6 years at New Horizons, Mr. Loberger spent 8 years as the first employee and Vice President of Network Development for Productivity Point International, a computer training network based out of Chicago, Illinois, taking them from a start up company to a network of 135 training centers and annual revenue in excess of $200 million. Productivity Point was purchased by Knowledge Universe, a Michael Milken company based in Redwood Shores, CA, in May of 1997. Mr. Loberger has also served as Director of Franchise Recruitment for Midas Muffler and Brake shops and spent 11 years with Mobil Oil Company (now Exxon/Mobil) during the late 70's and early 80's. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Economics that he received from the University of Wisconsin in 1976. |

Ken Sacks
Franchise Support Director
Ken Sacks is a 35 year seasoned international brand marketing and sales veteran. His successful career in key executive management roles for companies like TEAC Corporation, IDM Corp, Genesis Intermedia, and Consolidated Intercapital Corp, is abundant with a wide range of accomplishments in organizational development and franchise network sales & distribution. Previously a founder and owner of several companies, he has great knowledge of the securities industry having operated two NASD Broker/Dealers in General Securities, Currency Options Management, and IPO’s for 15 years as President/C.E.O. and Registered Securities Principal. Ken is also an excellent sales instructor, graduating many sales training institutes and mentors like Carnegie, Xerox, Ziglar, Hopkins, and others. During his tenure with Online Trading Academy since 2003, Ken has served in many capacities as corporate Marketing Manager, Irvine Sales Manager, Sales Trainer, Director of Mentor Education and Extended Learning Track (“XLT”) continuing education programs, and Director of Franchise Operations.

Steve Albin
VP Operations
Steve Albin is experienced in corporate education with over 16 years in the Technology Training Industry. His experience includes 4 years with QuickStart Technologies as Director of Operations where he opened 4 training facilities throughout California in addition to the initial corporate office. Steve spent 12 years with New Horizons Computer Learning Centers Inc, serving in many capacities including Instructor, Center Operations Manager, Director of Content, Director of eLearning as well as Vice President of the Franchise Corporate University. During this time he managed a $20 million content business and $4 million online training business unit. Steve holds both a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Vanguard University (1983) with a teaching credential in secondary education, as well as a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from National University (1987). |

Tony Harkey
VP Marketing
Tony Harkey leads the development of the Online Trading Academy brand, customer acquisition marketing and all marketing support for the Online Trading Academy franchise network. For the past 20 years, Tony has held a variety of marketing leadership posts with E*TRADE, Isuzu, Yamaha and Fleetwood. Tony has a broad range of marketing and business process improvement experience and a focus on growing sales and customer relationships. Tony has been a featured speaker at the National Center for Database Marketing (NCDM), Direct Marketing Association (DMA) and various Internet marketing conferences. He received a BA in Psychology and Journalism from Rutgers University and lives in Orange County, California. |

Anita Atias
Operations Manager
Ms. Atias, is an attorney in Israel, educated at the Haifa University (Israel) L.LB in Law with an expertise in Intellectual Property, and B.A in communication. Ms. Atias has worked in an intellectual property law office and signed two patents in WIPO-World Intellectual Property Organization in Geneva, Switzerland. She was responsible for continuous interaction with research staff in the fields of technological development to identify research capabilities and interests in new inventions and for conducting market evaluation of the inventions. |
