Ted Katz
Options and Personal Trading Plan Instructor
Ted brings to Online Trading Academy a unique passion for trading and teaching.
After completing his university degree in Commerce, Ted began his career in the financial markets with one of the largest
financial institutions in Canada. During his career, he controlled a portfolio of over $10,000,000 and was the first advisor
among his peers to trade options in 2001. It was during this time that he obtained his CSC, CFP and AMP designations.
Ted has experience trading stocks, options and E-mini futures, but he prefers trading options because of their versatility
and flexibility. He has developed a conservative trading style through years of actual trading experience – not theory. He has
been teaching since 2005 and brings a "learn by doing" approach to the classroom. His students appreciate his dedication and
patience and his ability to simplify the confusing world of options trading.
Ted joined the Online Trading Academy in Toronto shortly after they opened their doors in 2007. He understands what it takes
to become a successful trader and shares his knowledge and experience with his students which allows them to avoid the common
obstacles that most beginners encounter. He is one of those unique individuals that has the patience, dedication and passion for
trading and teaching. He derives great personal satisfaction from helping others by giving them the tools to generate income and
build wealth.
