John Barrett

John has been a professional Day Trader for over twelve years; he has traded full time and has derived his income solely
from trading. He was also an instructor, mentor and coach to new and experienced traders while trading at Protrader Securities
(1998 - 2000). Throughout his trading career he has had the opportunity to trade with many different traders who used a
variety of styles and techniques, and he has incorporated many of those techniques into his own trading. He had the privilege
to trade with, and to be mentored by, some of the most talented and successful traders in the history of direct access trading.
John traded a small account for several years, often trading a few hundred shares a day, and built up to trading large size
with many open positions, often trading several million shares per month. He has experience trading on a variety of trade
execution platforms and charting packages and has worked with software companies on developing tools to improve trade execution,
trade management and charting.
John says: "I have studied trading and all of its nuances. I have had great mentors and teachers in my trading career,
they have been very forthcoming and helpful to me in my development as a trader and a teacher. Sharing knowledge and experience
has always been a part of my trading philosophy. I have gained a great deal from other traders and I have found it to be very

provided. There was a lot of material that was covered in the first class that I wasn't able to absorb usefully, but during your
class, things started to make a lot more sense. I don't know if others in the class realized your generosity in giving us your

question, but does not allow the class to drift off topic. Another aspect of John's teaching that I appreciate: he knows the
