Course Description

Many investors and traders like to think of their wealth as a “big bucket” for more conservative long term planning, and a “little bucket” for active trading. For the big bucket, it’s key to invest in such a way that value continues to grow while risk is mitigated. You can’t do this by sitting by and letting your broker make decisions, nor by letting your portfolio run itself. You need to find a balance that gives you maximum control with a minimum time commitment. Your quality of life, your retirement and your family’s future depends on it.

Train yourself to think like a professional money manager in this five-day immersion into investing across all major asset classes. Includes many workshop exercises to reinforce what you’re learning — how to hedge against inflation, benefit from currency fluctuations, and grow and preserve capital in good markets and bad. The key is diversification beyond familiar stocks and funds, plus a willingness to rebalance your portfolio as conditions change. You’ll leave the class with a self-built portfolio strategy that is based on your investing timeframe, risk tolerance, skills and goals.

The course is designed to teach you to:

• Understand the True Market Place
• Asset class allocation and diversification: what, when and how to buy.
• Crash course in professional-grade technical analysis
• Managing your own risk tolerance and other psychological biases.
• Passive vs. active management... which is right for you?
• See Set-ups through a combination of Fundamental and Technical Analysis
• Going beyond conventional investments to build an optimally balanced portfolio.

Testimonials

"The Active Investor course provided explanation and clarification of many Trading and analysis concepts and techniques using specific quantitative rules and limits in order to identify Stocks and to identify entry, price target and exit points."

Glenn J., January 2009

"I was very nervous after completing my protrading course - how was I going to be able to choose my long term investment? But after the active investor class I am so comfortable to find trades of opportunity."

Lyton N., May 2008

"The active investor course focuses on relatively timeless principles of investing that are applicable to a variety of trading strategies over time. I felt that since Online Trading Academy does not have investment instruments of its own, Online Trading Academy focuses entirely on providing this service solely for the benefit of the student. This is a rare quality to find among financial education and information services. After completing this course in conjunction with the broad market analysis course, I now feel I have a foundation for developing and maintaining the best overall investment portfolio that will meet my investment objectives."

Bill D., January 2008

"This Class is a must for all - novice like me, or expert such as others. It'll open your eyes."

Sylvia M., January 2007

“They way the Instructor explained the course topics was really helpful. Before attending this class I had no knowledge about long term investing but now I feel comfortable in creating my retirement account portfolio. Thanks to Online Trading Academy.”

"If you're serious about taking control of your money… if you're jaded by organizations that are obviously in the business of trying to take your money… if you want a legitimate primer on how you can see what your money could be doing, then call Online Trading Academy. They're the real deal."

Randy S., June 2006

"Fantastic info for long-term investment and charting. It was a great learning experience in the class, especially for visual media presentation. The Instructor is very good and also a well-versed stock-trader & investor, and his advice was highly valuable to my future stock trading and investing skills."

Jeffrey N., May 2006

“I absolutely recommend this class to anyone interested on growing their money. Whether investing or in slow growth, understanding how the market works is a great tool for your future. The active Investors Class gives you information that gives you the power to secure your money.”
